Overview

The mailing list promotes discussions of relevance to pre-hospital emergency care within the multi-professional membership. While predominantly aimed at pre-hospital providers in the UK and Ireland it welcomes contributors from all over the world who feel they can contribute positively to the list.

Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Articles/submissions should be posted in plain text format to list@eco999.com

Due to the volume of mail passing through the list server, members are requested to avoid posting unnecessary attachments, i.e. lengthy quotations of original messages, virtual business cards, unofficial binary attachments and HTML formatted messages.

Members are reminded that, as this is a professional and academic list, Emergency Care Online should not be used for personal or commercial messages. Spam or flaming will not be tolerated.

Replies are sent to the mailing list automatically. If replying to the author please use email, not the mailing list. If enquiring about list administration or membership, send to listowner@eco999.com, not the mailing list.

Moderation Policies

Emergency Care Online is semi-moderated. This means the administrator can block or moderate submissions by thread (topic) or author, at his discretion. This is in contrast to a moderated mailing list where all submissions require approval by the administrator before being published on the mailing list.

If violation of the AUP occurs, members will receive an AUP reminder via email. If violation persists, moderation polices will be enforced.

Bounced messages

If we receive notification of failed delivery attempts from a member's subscription address (for no more than 7 days), their email address will be removed from the list server.

If you find you have been removed from the mailing list and wish to continue receiving postings, please resubmit another membership application form.
